Doug joins Aurenity with nearly 20 years of underwriting and leadership experience in both the US and London (re)insurance markets. Most recently he was EVP and Head of Casualty and Professional lines at Brit Global Specialty USA where he aided in the build-out of Brit’s US operation, ultimately responsible for over $300m GWP annually. Before leaving BGSU Doug helped navigate their successful merger with its wholly owned subsidiary, Ambridge Partners, transiting BGSU into a full-fledged MGA. Prior to Brit Doug held roles at Catlin US and The Hartford. He is a graduate of Merrimack College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Accounting.

After calling Chicago home for nearly 15 years, Doug returned to his roots in Connecticut with his wife Amanda and two daughters Ella and Claire. He currently resides in Simsbury, CT and works from Aurenity’s West Hartford, CT office.
